Kevin Clinesmith (pictured left) the former FBI lawyer who doctored the CIA email about Carter Page, pleaded guilty to a felony false statement in a deal with prosecutors. However, he wasn't given any jail time because the judge sided with the defense's theory of the case. You can read all about it here and here.
Note: The judge who gave Clinesmith a light sentence (probation and community service) is none other than U.S. District Court Judge John Boasberg, who has issued numerous anti-Trump court decisions this year, all of which have been overturned by higher courts.
Clinesmith, who was temporarily suspended from the DC Bar after his plea deal in 2020, was restored to the Bar in good standing one year later.
